The Many Named King, Shemar Holmes, was born on June 1, 1999, in Rochester, New York, with a passion for writing and producing music.

King Dugi had an interest in music at an early age, partly due to his father, who was big into car audio, blasting 90's rap through his car's advanced sound system. However, due to antisocial tendencies, he spent most of his early life surfing the internet. Unable to integrate his life into the real world, he sought comfort through browsing music on YouTube and Nico Nico Douga, becoming obsessed with internet culture. He quickly lost interest in the real world, whether it be staying up all night to watch anime or skipping school to play video games.

It wasn't until freshman year in college that he had an assignment in sociology that required him to write down one thing that he had regretted not doing. Jokingly he wrote "becoming a rapper" shortly after class, he was pulled aside by the professor who was also a rapper, and he was encouraged to still pursue his dreams. He then installed FL Studio on his computer and began producing beats as a hobby as he continued throughout college. With the intent to sell beats to rappers as a side hustle, he instead kept the beats for himself and used notes that he wrote of problems that were bothering him and turned them into songs, where he would then practice freestyling with his best friend. As he challenged himself to become more social and explored the world more, there became more and more to write about, making his songs focus on more specific topics such as heartbreaks and his vices. He now creates music to paint pictures of different perspectives of life, may it be his own or what he has witnessed...
